Micrograph Competition
Travel Discounts are available for attendees to Microscopy & Microanalysis Annual Meeting. We have negotiated the following discounts for airline travel to Portland. These are unusual in that we were able to get open (non-exclusive) contracts in order to obtain more complete route coverage. We urge you to participate in these discount programs as the Local Affiliate Society (LAS) will receive some benefit from these agreements. Please take advantage of these opportunities and frequent flyer registrations. These are, in alphabetical order:
Alaska Airlines is an "Official Airline of Microscopy & Microanalysis '99". In addition, most Horizon Airline connections are also discounted. You must give the Group Number (CMR2994) at 1-800-445-4435. The discount is 5% of published fares, and 10% off First Class fares. Some restrictions apply. American Airlines is an "Official Airline of Microscopy & Microanalysis '99". Both US and CAN fares apply. You must give the Group Number through the American Airlines Meeting Desk, Number 5579UB at 1-800-433-1790 (menu #3). The discount is 5% or better for published fares and 10% off fully coach fares. Some restrictions apply. You will receive an additional discount if you book 60 days in advance. See also http://www.aa.com.
Trans World Airlines (TWA) is an "Official Airline of Microscopy & Microanalysis '99". You must give the Group Number through the TWA Meetings Desk, Number V16991, at 1-800-325-4933. The discount is 10% or better for published fares and 5% off international fares into the United States. Some restrictions apply, especially to flights originating from St. Louis, MO. The airline and the Pacific Northwest Electron Microscopy Society reserve all rights to cancel, change or improve these discounts in advance of the conference.
Extended window. These fare discounts are good 7 days in advance of the conference and 10 days post conference (July 24- August 15), so that you can take advantage of preconference seminars and post-conference activities.
