Brent Nannenga is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University. He obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington in 2011, and subsequently joined the lab of Tamir Gonen at Janelia Research Campus as a postdoctoral researcher, where he worked on the development and application of microcrystal electron diffraction (MicroED). His current research focuses on continued development of MicroED and the application of cryo-EM towards understanding and engineering protein structure and function.
