About EM-DAM
EM-DAM is primarily focused on coded/programmatic solutions for the analysis and storage workflow for data sets collected by electron microscopy-based techniques. This FIG focuses on the analysis and processing techniques themselves rather than any specific use cases. EM-DAM seeks to maximize the opportunities and address the challenges of new microscope techniques and computing capabilities.
The purpose of this FIG is two-fold:
- To discuss the successes, opportunities, and challenges in the application of novel processing algorithms and storage strategies.
- To become a hub/community for the transfer of knowledge applying these techniques to others, with a focus on reaching members in research groups currently without the expertise.
